Mission Opportunities

April 2 -- Soup and Sandwich Fundraiser for Missions Committee -- Please bring either sandwiches or desserts. The committee will bring a variety of soups.

June 28 - July 5 -- Mission trip to Blackey, KY (Letcher County) We need folks willing to do light construction, dry wall work, painting and cleaning. We also need a kitchen and laundry crew. You can join us for all or part of the week since we won't be far from home. Cost is $28/person/day. If you have a heart for serving those in a poverty stricken area of Kentucky, sign up at the Welcome Center by April 1. For more information, contact Jeanie Mitchell.

August 9 -- Annual Golf Scramble

Soup Kitchen

Our church has committed to serving at the Soup Kitchen located on Second Street across from the Police Station. We serve on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 1 PM. Sometimes we cook, sometimes the main meal is already prepared, but we always serve in Jesus' name. Sign up at the Welcome Center.

The King Center for Children

The center is located in South Frankfort. It serves the community through three programming areas: educational programs for youth development, community outreach, and faith based programs. This center is an excellent ministry in which to Live Your Call. For more information about how you or our church can become involved with this center, contact Rita Osborne or Missy Seitz, who is the Program Coordinator for the Center.

Mission Buckets

Mission Buckets are in each adult Sunday School room. Each Sunday, we ask you to place a quarter in the bucket to support next year's mission projects. Thanks in advance for your participation. For more information, contact Hilda Grider.
